Mt. Garfield is one of the highest points in the range called the Book Cliffs formation. You can see it from many miles away as you approach Grand Junction from either direction on Interstate 70. This shot is taken in the little town of Palisade just east of Grand Junction. For many years Palisade has been know for its delicious peaches, but now vineyards are appearing.
