English: Volkswagen based Dannenhauer u Stauss cabriolet (1951)
According to the accompanying label at the Wolfsburg Volkswagen museum approximately 100 cabriolet conversions were undertaken between 1950 and 1957 by the Stuttgart based partnership of Gottfried Dannenbauer and Kurt Stauss, based on VW Beetles or DKWs. (The museum's label is itself inconsistent (in April 2015) over whether the name of the first named gentleman was Dannenhauer or Dannenbauer.)
