DescriptionWaltair Caravelle 9Q-CPI at Kinshasa Ndjili 1995.jpg
English: An unpleasant 2-week trip to Kinshasa, Zaire in 1995. Photography was strictly forbidden at Kinshasa Ndjili Airport, so I only managed a few furtive shots from the cockpit window of Antonov An-12 RA-11025.
This is Waltair SE-210 Caravelle 10B3 9Q-CPI (c/n 169).
Originally OH-LSG with Finnair in 1964, then I-GISU with Altair Linee Aeree, F-GELQ wth Europe Aero Service, and HB-ICJ with Aero Jet.
About to rotate very noisily, I think this is the last Caravelle I ever saw fly. It was scrapped by 2001.
