DescriptionWell house at the holy well of St Morwenna near Morwenstow.jpg
English: This well house is a grade II listed building with medieval origins. Its official listing describes it thus: “Dressed stone gabled well house built into the side of the cliff. Rectangular opening under stone lintel, triangular stone above lintel set in gable. Some repair to well by Hawker.” Hawker is the Reverend J S Hawker who was vicar of Morwenstow parish from 1834 until his death in 1875. The well is dry as the spring no longer issues here. Accessed via a perilously steep path down the cliff through blackthorn bushes.
