English: The White Dwarf was built for Leo Gallagher, the one-man act show comedian who used it in the 1980's to make entrances into large arenas. It later sold privately and has been stored in a hangar at the Madras, Oregon, airport. White Dwarf is a helium-filled non-rigid BA-1 class airship that has a pedal-powered propeller to give it forward thrust with ability to move the prop's position to point up or down, allowing for descent or ascent. It was removed for display at the airport's annual Airshow of the Cascades where its owner was allowing anyone with sufficient leg muscles to take the ship up.
