Description
English: This portrait of Marshall is from “Artists at Home: Photographed by J. P. Mayall, and Reproduced in Facsimile by Photo-engraving on Copper Plates,” published in London by Sampson Low, Marston, Searle and Rivington in 1884. Marshall is seated in front of a model for a full-length classical nude which he exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1884 under the title, Psyche (the soul), indulging in forbidden curiosity faints.
