Summary

Description Zürich in der Schweizer Chronik von Christoph Silberysen, Bd. 1, S. 455 (1576). Während der extremen Trockenheit im Jahr 1400 konnte die Wasserkircheninsel trockenen Fusses umgangen werden. Für die Ursache hielt man den Kometen. Die Darstellung zeigt die Gebäude und Bauwerke - u.a. Wellenberg, Grendeltor und vermutlich der Vorgängerbau des Bauschänzlis - jedoch im Zustand des 16. Jahrhunderts. Im Hintergrund sind die Überreste des römischen Rundtempels auf dem Grossen Hafner zu erkennen.
