to be replaceable, or not to be replaceable

With regards to this and this, I could not find a suitable replacement file of which I could be sure it was free. However, I'm not versed in these matters, so if anyone can provide a corresponding, positively free image, please bring it to my attention. – ὁ οἶστρος (talk) 19:40, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

No existing free image is only part of WP:NFCC#1. The other part is that no free image could be created. When it comes to living people there is a strong presumption that someone could take their picture and release it under a free license. If there's a reason that this could not be done in this particular case, please let us know. VernoWhitney (talk) 19:48, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

It also says, ask yourself: "Can this non-free content be replaced by a free version that has the same effect?". To that I say, no, it can't, not to my knowledge. It could, in theory, but presently it can't. – ὁ οἶστρος (talk) 20:14, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

I would imagine for someone knowing where he lives or appears in public and getting around to go there this to be feasible (unless Mr. Meier doesn't want his picture taken or be approached in the first place). – ὁ οἶστρος (talk) 22:38, 27 November 2012 (UTC)
