The person in this picture is definitely not Antonio Vivaldi, but an unknown Venetian, perhaps a musician, posturing for a painter in the early 18th century. The Vivaldi connection should be deleted from picture. 193.65.105.175 (talk) 08:27, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not correct. The oil painting at the Museo Internazionale della Musica di Bologna is in fact generally believed to be of Vivaldi. It is probably linked to the 1725 engraving of Vivaldi by Morellon La Cave, which is apparently a modified mirror reflection of it. See "The Vivaldi Compendium", by Michael Talbot (2011) for details.
