Date of Certificate?[edit]

Captain Burzagli reviewing seamen aboard RN Libia (1922).

Captain Ernesto Burzagli was given command of the Italian cruiser, RN Libia, in 1917. The translation mentions command of the Second Squadron, which may date from this period. From February 1921 to February 1923, he commanded the Libia as she circumnavigated the globe. It seems likely that the citation specifically references this Italian naval vessel rather than the Berber territory of North Africa, which was known during Burzagli's lifetime by different names:

I wonder if there could be a translation error from the Arabic text in the attributed date of 18 Rabia 1312? --Tenmei (talk) 15:29, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
