Doesn't Myanmar claim to be democratic now after the recent elections?

On another note, it would be nice to distinguish countries on this map which, despite claiming to be democratic, are also openly one-party states. Rain74 (talk) 17:56, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Criteria to be classified as democratic country[edit]

Since when North Korea has been regarded as democratic country?Relentless Justice (talk) 00:47, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This map concerns itself with self-identification to illustrate that almost all countries want to be thought of as democratic (hence the universal appeal of democracy). The North Korean government identifies as democratic. It, after all, calls itself the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Bastin 21:31, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
