Negatively or positively charged object brought near to the electroscope

All the experiments I know of (publications, demonstrations) bring a negatively charged object near to the plate of the electroscope. I think that it would therefore be better to inverse the polarity of the drawn charges, unless one can give a reference to the experiment that has been conducted with this polarity. --Arjen Dijksman (talk) 12:55, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
