Regarding Portrait of Frances Stewart, Duchess of Richmond and Lennox, née Howard, (1578–1639) as a widow

The information states:

  • Artist Unknown
  • after a 1633 lost original by
  • Anthony van Dyck (1599–1641)

I don't know the precise definition of "lost" being used here, but in 1998 I took a photo of what appears to be that painting hanging on a wall in Bantry House, County Cork, Ireland. Information in its label contradicts information in the painting linked above.

The label on the Bantry House painting says:

  • Frances Howard of Bindon
  • 1576 - 1639
  • Married:
    • 1st: Henry Prannel
    • 2nd: Edward Seymour, Earl of Hertford
    • 3rd: Ludovic Stuart, Duke of Richmond and Lennox
  • Painted by Daniel Mytens
