Now you guys know calling $7 in 2009 the same thing as $7 in 2008 dollars is wrong. You need to fix this.

The future increases are only showing nominal changes, since I don't think it's worth guessing what future inflation will be like. There are some people saying that, with the current crisis, we might even see deflation—which would increase the minimum wage! In any case, inflation fluctuates too much to assume a 10-year average will hold or anything.Lalala666 (talk) 23:50, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CPI updates?[edit]

I see you say this is updated through Oct 08, but the data table only seems to have CPI figures through Jan 08... how does this work? Is this the source data, or just a reference? Doprendek (talk) 18:36, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I forgot to update the table. It is now in sync with the graph, sorry about that. The table is a reference, in case you want to use it to make another graph or verify my math. Lalala666 (talk) 21:21, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

how long until a updated chart?[edit]

how long until a updated chart of this is created? i noticed that the USa just passed another minimum wage law that this wage has to yet increase again nominally in the new year of 2011? so how long of the wait some one creates a new chart im hoping that the new chart gets created as early as of spring or summer of 2011. then again its nearly 2011 and still refering to 2009 data but i would like the new chart to have the new minimum wage data of 2011. at the rate this is going wed wait till 2013 to see how the nomimial increase of 2011 played out. 69.208.10.149 (talk) 01:28, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Readability: line instead of area and lighter gridlines[edit]

I think this chart would be more readable if area were replaced with lines, and the gridlines were softened. For example CNN's chart of this (which also goes through 2015) is more appealing in my opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MaxGhenis (talkcontribs) 19:52, 25 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
