Note on F10 tagging

[edit]

I have reintstated the tag since it was removed by the uploader, but clearly the tag does not apply since:

  • F10 cannot be used to speedy delete images.
  • The image clearly serves an encyclopedic purpose as can be seen by its use during an RFC on the India talk page, and many times subsequently, including the recent third opinion requested by User:Doorvery far (who then tagged the image for deletion!)

I am not removing the tag myself, since I was involved in the discussion at Talk:India, and therefore hope that another admin can wave the clustick instead.
PS: Crossposting at File:Indian freedom pie chart.jpg, which has also been similarly tagged. Abecedare (talk) 21:34, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Counts

[edit]

Even bar chart does not say the exact count. Instead it says "Gandhi" is 21%, which makes purpose of bar chart over pie chart useless. Mentioning the exact count instead of percentage in bargraph, and what exactly method used to count (google book search?), would help understand this picture. Regards. I have full trust in user f&f, but still want to cross check the this data since human error is common. I tried book search to count references in book "A history of modern India, 1480-1950" and "gandhi" resulted in 58 and "bose" resulted in 6. Originally I had thought gandhi count is 21, which is wrong, but it is 21% Doorvery far (talk) 05:59, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
