The 2 refs to the New Zealand MFAT website are broken. There is a related article here but it doesn't contain the quotes.--Dhorrell (talk) 11:51, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cuba, Bolivia and Venezuela[edit]

From where comes that Cuba, Bolivia and Venezuela don't recognize Israel? --Hoygan!! (talk) 20:02, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Awful map[edit]

This map is so POV and full of innaccuracies! It is unsourced, and it takes an approach to the Israel-Palestine conflict that is too simplistic. It doesn't convey any useful information, and I think it must be deleted. -- Gabi S. (talk) 08:21, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Changes[edit]

  • Pakistan doesn't recognize Israel, but has some relations with it.[1]
  • Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, Venezuela, and Guyana have recognized Palestine.
  • South Africa has diplomatic relations with Palestine.[2] Not sure if this means it has recognized Palestine or not.

New Zealand[edit]

In the case of New Zealand ("Recognition of only Israel") I do not think this map fairly represents its position, and this case illustrates the difficulty of this kind of map.

New Zealand votes for UN motions such as "Permanent sovereignty of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem".[3] However on recognition it takes the technical position "In the case of a future Palestinian state, recognition will be considered when the Palestinian leadership has formally declared statehood. It has not yet done this."[4] So this chart is reflecting the particular legal view of NZ to statehood, not its attitude. I don't think the typical viewer of this map will appreciate that.

Euromediterranean Partnership[edit]

Most EU countries (EU-15 and a few more) and the Palestinian Authority are partners in the w:Euromediterranean Partnership. So it is hard to see how any of those EU countries do not have "some relations to Palestine".

Morocco and Bhutan 2020[edit]

Both Morocco and Bhutan may need to be updated on this map.
