Gentlemen, with reference to your page on the U.S. Marine Corp LNS-1 glider. In the text accompanying the photos the glider is referenced as a Schweizer 8-2. This unfortunatly is in error, as the correct designation would a Schweizer SGS 2-8, 2 designating a two place glider, and 8 designating the 8th design.
I am currently restoring a 1942 U.S. Army TG-2, (Schweizer SGS 2-8), which is the Army version of the LNS-1.
