This image appears to be a sagittal reformation from the NIH Visible Human project. The intracranial anatomy is distorted due to post-mortem swelling that has caused downward herniation of the cerebellar tonsils and medulla through the foramen magnum. This would also distort the anatomy of the hypothalamus and other suprasellar structures. KlingonDoctor (talk) 18:13, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
