Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this (I've never weighed in on images before, nor Wikimedia Commons items), but: it seems to me there are TONS of problems with this image/graph. Previous editors have taken a much briefer snip and expanded it ostensibly with US gov't data, deleted some watermark (?!?), etc. BIGGEST issue that leaps out it that it's "inflation-adjusted" somehow -- to what year? Are these 1980 dollars? 2012 dollars? Errr, oops, actually THAT points out the biggest issue: what's the actual *source* of data? Especially given that the image history seems to suggest it was multiple sources? There're far more problems with this; that's just a start. Basically: this to a layperson looks WAY more authoritative than it possibly can be, without considerably more underlying sourcing (preferably including a pointer to the raw data!), and explication.
