File talk:Push button cable box.jpg
Wrong description!
[edit]That is not an early remote control. That is an early cable converter (something Jerrold made many of until being bought by General Instruments). In fact, as long as it is not broken, I bet it would still work even now for basic cable. We had one of these when I was a child. It has two coax female F connectors on the back, right? A remote control wouldn't have that...
High points for finding one of these and taking a picture of it... no points for misidentifying it. (I fear the day of late 20th century cryptoarchaeology may have arrived.)

It's really hard for some reason to find a picture of one of these. This drawing at [1] is the best evidence I can find to corroborate that this is a cable box. - Keith D. Tyler ¶ 22:34, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Since this is not a remote control, but a cable converter box, the name should be changed to reflect this. - Keith D. Tyler ¶ 22:23, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
