Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because I have amended the license details. --MrArmstrong2 (talk) 15:28, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You have not added a detailed fair use rationale for each use, as described on Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline. Harry Let us have speaks 16:08, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have read the Fair Use page and am none the wiser. Can you tell me what I need to add? MrArmstrong2 (talk) 16:11, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There is not automatic right to use the cover of a book with an article about that book. You need to give a detailed rationale as to why the book cover is needed to illustrate a given article. Harry Let us have speaks 16:16, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Harry the Dirty Dog: @MrArmstrong2: I have removed the speedy deletion tag and replaced with dated deletion tags. The uploader has, under policy, has one week to provide the necessary source and rationale information. To the uploader, here is an example of a book cover upload with the proper rationale provided, File:1001 Nights of Snowfall Cover.jpg. I suggest you take a look at that to help you find out what you need for your upload here. Thanks. Safiel (talk) 16:57, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
