Flare (Techno-Cultural Fest)

Flare, is the annual techno cultural festival of the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University.[1] It is a three-day long college fest held towards the end of March every year. It has been celebrated for last four years and has a footfall of over 9,000 students from various colleges of India.[2]

Pro-nites

In its very first year performances by Pakistan band Jal and several other bands like Antariksh[3] based on popular band Pink Floyd could be seen. In its second year, Flare hosted performances by Agnee, Highway 61, and Jaipur Beats along with DJ Suketu.[1]

Technical events

There were also several other competitions involving robotics. One such competition in 2010 was "Pele's bot" football competition, and others included a car and boat-racing events.[3] At Flare 2011, additional competitions such as The Battle of the Bots was added.[4] The next Flare is set to take place in March 2012.
