Francisco José Sánchez Rodríguez (born 8 February 1990) commonly known as Fran Rodríguez is a Spanish professional footballer playing for SV Mattersburg in Austrian Football First League as a defender.

Club career

In Spain, Rodríguez played for Alcalá and Atlético Madrid B in the Segunda División B. However, he played rarely for the clubs as he made only 23 appearances in a course of 4 years (from 2009 to 2013). To gain more first team opportunities, Rodríguez joined SV Mattersburg in Austrian Football First League (second tier of Austrian football).[1]
