Francis Carew (MP for Castle Rising)

Francis Carew' (?1530-1611), of Beddington, Surrey was an English politician.

Family

Carew was the son of Nicholas Carew, friend of Henry VIII of England, and his wife, Elizabeth Bryan, who has been suggested as a possible mistress of Henry VIII's.[1] Through his mother, he was a third cousin of both Edward VI and Elizabeth I, through their mothers.

Career

He was a Member (MP) of the Parliament of England for Castle Rising in 1563.[2]
