Francis Seymour, of Sherborne, Dorset

Francis Seymour (1697 – 23 December 1761) was a British gentleman and politician, who owned an estate at Sherborne, Dorset.
He was a son of Sir Edward Seymour, 5th Baronet and his wife Letitia Popham.
He married on 30 July 1728 his cousin Elizabeth Popham, Dowager Lady Hinchingbrooke (d. 20 March 1761), daughter of Alexander Popham, of Littlecote, Wiltshire, Member of Parliament, and great granddaughter of Colonel Alexander Popham, by whom he had two children:
- Mary Seymour, m. 1758 John Baily
- Henry Seymour, of Redland Court, Gloucestershire (1729–1807)
Seymour was returned as Member of Parliament for Great Bedwyn in 1732, and for Marlborough in 1734, sitting for that constituency until 1741.
