Franklin Bowditch Dexter (September 11, 1842 - August 13, 1920) was an American historian, genealogist, librarian, and university administrator affiliated with Yale University.

He was a member of the Connecticut Academy of Arts and Sciences, and he was elected a member of the American Antiquarian Society in 1879.[1]
