Frederick Feirstein

Frederick Feirstein (born 1940) is a poet, playwright and psychoanalyst. He has published nine books of poetry, has had twelve plays produced, and has had numerous psychoanalytic and literary essays published. His ninth book of poems, Dark Energy, was published in 2013 as the first book in the Grolier Series of Established Poets.

He is a training analyst at the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis and is in private practice

Feirstein has a Guggenheim Fellow in poetry and been nominated twice for a Pulitzer in poetry. He has been the recipient of the Rockefeller Foundation's OADR Award for his musical drama The Children's Revolt.
