From the Inside, Out is a theatrical piece originally created by Maggie Keenan-Bolger from a series of personal interviews. Dealing primarily with the issue of self-injury in the form of "cutting," the play imparts a larger message about the many ways in which people abuse their bodies and minds as coping mechanisms to deal with daily life.

First performed in 2005 by students at Oberlin College,[1] From the Inside, Out was then picked up by 4th Meal Productions[2] and subsequently accepted into The New York International Fringe Festival in 2008.[3]
