Gearheads is a computer game released in 1996 for the PC, Macintosh, CD-I and SNES. It was designed by Frank Lantz, Eric Zimmerman[1] and Christopher Erhardt (Consultant Designer) at Philips Media.

Gameplay

The player has to get their toys to the other side of the game area, and prevent their opponent from reaching their side. The toys are of different kinds with certain movement patterns and weapons. Once they are deployed, they walk by themselves and interact with each other by their own. The player has to think strategically about where, when and which combinations of toys could win the battle.

Availability

Mostly sold as used goods, CD-I and SNES versions are harder to come by; neither well spread as ROMs or abandonware.
