Geiseltalsee is with about 1900 ha the largest artificial lake in Germany[1] lying in the Saalekreis district, Saxony-Anhalt.

Location

Geiseltalsee is bordered by the city of Mücheln to the southwest, west, and northwest, the city of Braunsbedra to the northeast, east, and southeast, and the city of Bad Lauchstädt for a small stretch to the northwest.
