Geistingen is a hamlet and deelgemeente of the municipality of Kinrooi, in the Belgian province of Limburg.

This commune commenced along the Roman road connecting Maastricht and Nijmegen. At that time, it laid close to the river Meuse. She has meanwhile changed her course to the east; in her old one nowadays flows the Witbeek. Its name was originally Westo-inga-heim, which is Germanic for 'accommodation of the descendants of Westo'. Out of Geistingen Ophoven) was founded. Later, both villages were part of the county of Horne. After the executing of Philip de Montmorency in 1568 by the Spanish, Horne was added to the Prince-Bishopric of Liège.
