Geniculate nucleus

There are two structures (or rather two pairs of structures) in the brain that could be called geniculate nucleus:

lateral geniculate nucleus — vision
medial geniculate nucleus — hearing

They should not be confused with the geniculate ganglion of the facial nerve.
