Genisys Credit Union is a credit union based in Auburn Hills, Michigan.[2]

Genisys Credit Union is the 4th largest credit union in Michigan with over 185,000 members and assets of 2.1 billion as of October 31, 2016.[3] They operate 25 branch locations in Michigan, 2 in Minnesota and 1 in Pennsylvania.[1] In addition, Genisys belongs to the CO-OP Network which provides its members access to over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs and 5,000 Shared Branch locations. The organization is a federally insured state-chartered credit union that is regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Genisys Credit Union was officially chartered in 1936.[4]

Membership

You can join Genisys Credit Union and benefit from the advantages of a member-owned, not-for-profit credit union if you:

• Live, work, worship, attend school or own a business in the following areas:

--All 68 counties in the lower peninsula of Michigan

--Dakota, Ramsey, Anoka, Hennepin, Scott and Washington Counties in Minnesota

--Montgomery County in Pennsylvania

• Are employed by one of our affiliated select employee groups or a member of an affiliated association. Genisys Credit Union serves almost 450 different employee or associational groups.

• Are an immediate family member of a Genisys Credit Union member. Immediate family members include parents, spouses, siblings, children, grandparents, grandchildren, stepparents, stepchildren, stepbrothers, stepsisters and adopted children of members. Individuals living in the same household and maintaining a single economic unit with a member are also eligible to join.
