George Edward Glass is an American businessman and diplomat who is the United States Ambassador to Portugal.[1] This nomination was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on August 3, 2017.[2] Prior to assuming his current role, he was the owner of MGG Development LLC in Lake Oswego, Oregon. He founded Pacific Crest Securities in Portland, Oregon in 1990 and served as the company's president until 2014. He is a trustee for Oregon Health & Science University and a former trustee for the University of Oregon.[3][4]
