Georgetown American University is a private institution in Georgetown, Guyana. It was established in November 2013 while classes commenced June 2014.[citation needed]

Accreditation

GAU is registered with the National Accreditation Council of Guyana.[1] It is listed in FAIMER International Medical Education Directory (IMED) and World Health Organization.

Programs offered

GAU has three faculties: School of Medicine, School of Nursing and School of Dentistry. The programs offered are:

  • Doctor of Medicine - 4 year program
  • Associate Degree in Nursing - 2 year program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing - 4 year program
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery - 4 year program
