Gilbert Dennison Harris

Gilbert Dennison Harris, Ph.B. (18641952) was an American geologist. He was born at Jamestown, New York, and graduated from Cornell University in 1886. From 1887 to 1893 he served on geological surveys.

He was assistant professor of paleontology and stratigraphic geology at Cornell from 1894 to 1909, and afterward full professor. In 1895 he became proprietor and editor of the Bulletin of American Paleontology.
