Gill Furniss MP (born March 1957) is a Labour Party Politician and the member of Parliament for Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough.

She was educated at the Chaucer School, Sheffield and Leeds Metropolitan University (BA Library and Information Studies, 1998).

She is the widow of the late Member of Parliament for Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough, Harry Harpham.

She was selected as the Labour candidate at the Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough by-election, 2016 which was held on 5 May 2016 [1]. She won the by-election with a majority of 9,590 over the second placed candidate representing UKIP.
