Gina Ravera (born May 20, 1966) is an American actress from San Francisco, California. She is best known for the role of Irene Daniels during the first four seasons[1] of the Emmy Award winning TNT crime drama The Closer, and was the only regular cast member to leave the series during its run.

She is of African-American and Puerto Rican descent.

She is a classically trained dancer.

Ravera was part of the main cast of Time of Your Life, a spin-off series of Fox's popular hit teen drama Party of Five. The cast was headed by Jennifer Love Hewitt and other notable main cast members included Jennifer Garner and Pauley Perrette before they gained recognition for their own hit television shows Alias and NCIS respectively.

Her acting credits include Soul Food, The Closer, ER, and The Great Debaters.[2]
