Girls Lost (Swedish: Pojkarna) is a 2015 Swedish drama film directed by Alexandra-Therese Keining. It was screened in the Contemporary World Cinema section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival.[1]
Taking inspiration from the 1928 novel Orlando: A Biography, the film draws on elements of magical realism to explore notions of fluid sexuality and identity.[2]
Plot
Three teenaged girls discover a flower whose nectar can temporally turn them into boys. At first bewildered by the transformation and the newfound freedom being male gives them in the night life of the city, one of them, Kim, soon finds herself addicted to her male persona.
