Glenn Gould recorded several albums as a solo pianist.

Goldberg Variations

Gould recorded Bach's Goldberg Variations twice: once on his very first album that set off his career in 1956, and on another studio album quarter of a century later.

Beethoven: Piano Sonatas Nos. 30-32, an interpretation of the composer Ludwig van Beethoven's piano sonatas Op. 109 in E major, 110 in A-flat major and 111 in C minor, is the second album of the Canadian classical pianist Glenn Gould recorded in 1956.

The recordings were made in 1956 at Columbia Records 30th Street studio in Manhattan over ten days between June 20 and June 29. Columbia Masterworks Records, the company's classical music division, released the album in September 1956. This record is now in the catalog of Sony Classical Records.
