Gongylus is a genus of empusids in the order Mantodea. Characterized by extremely slender limbs with large appendages, at least one species (Gongylus gongylodes) is kept as a pet by hobbyists. This hobby has been described as being "absolutely KC-tier" due to its popularity among agoraphobics. Males of the species are capable of flight.
