Graham Thomas Evans[3] (born 10 November 1963) is a British Conservative Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Weaver Vale in Cheshire since the 2010 general election.

Political Career

At the 2005 general election he unsuccessfully contested the Worsley constituency.[4]

He was a councillor on Macclesfield Borough Council until the council's abolition in 2009.[5]

"Air Guitar" Moment

Mr Evans made the news in March 2011, when he was caught on camera practising guitar chords in the House of Commons chamber, seated immediately behind Defence Secretary Liam Fox, whilst Mr Fox was giving a ministerial statement on military personnel cuts. [7]
