Graham Richard Peter Smith (born 1974) is the Chief Executive Officer of the anti-monarchy campaign group Republic[1] and a trustee of the The Reform Foundation.[2]

He was educated at Henbury School in Bristol and the Open University (BSc, International Studies).

He has written in The Guardian on numerous occasions criticising the relationship between the British monarchy and their counterparts in the Middle East, the cost of the monarchy, secrecy from the Freedom of Information Act and alleged political activity by the monarchy.[3]

He is frequently invited to media appearances to speak on behalf of Republic. The Daily Mail were critical of the BBC for inviting Smith onto BBC News prior to the birth of Princess Charlotte.[4]
