The artificial lake Gruža (Gružansko jezero; Cyrillic: Гружанско језеро) was created southwest of the Knić, as a water reservoir for the population of the city of Kragujevac and its industry. Lake covers an area of 9.19 km². Being the largest body of water in central Serbia, it is nicknamed Šumadija Sea (Šumadijsko more; Cyrillic: Шумадијско море).
