Gustaf Hellstrom (28 August 1882, Kristianstad – 27 February 1953, Stockholm) was a Swedish realist novelist, journalist, and literary critic. Beginning his career as a foreign correspondent for several Scandinavian newspapers, he lived in Paris, London, and New York City, places that are the setting of many of his works. His piece de resistance is considered to be Lacemaker Lekholm Has an Idea, a record of three generations of a Swedish military family. Another notable work of his is Stellan Petreus: A Man Without Humour, his autobiography.[1]
