Guts of a Virgin is the first EP by Painkiller, a band featuring John Zorn, Bill Laswell and Mick Harris. It contains twelve tracks and was released on the Toy's Factory label in Japan and the Earache label in England in 1991. The cover art was censored in the UK after customs seized and destroyed the first shipment for violating the Obscene Publications Act.[1]

Guy's Music Review[3]

The Allmusic review awarded the album 3 stars.[2] Guy Peters stated "People who are into adventurous, fearless experimentation should check this out - even if it’s only to have heard it once -, but if Slayer and average free jazz are already too extreme for your tastes (pussy music!), just avoid this release, the real soundtrack to the apocalypse".[3]
