Gwinhurst is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Its altitude is 98 feet (30 m), and it is located at 39°47′30″N 75°28′44″W / 39.79167°N 75.47889°W / 39.79167; -75.47889 (39.7917797, -75.4788080).[1]

A part of Brandywine Hundred, Gwinhurst is located between Claymont and the incorporated town of Bellefonte. It also shares borders with similar neighborhoods such as Silverside Heights, Holly Oak, and Hillendale. Public services are mainly provided by New Castle County. Gwinhurst is located within the Brandywine School District.

As a part of New Castle County, Gwinhurst is located in the Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington Metropolitan Statistical Area.[2] There are 432 residential properties and 2 commercial properties in the community.[3]
