These are the results of the men's rings competition, one of eight events for male competitors in artistic gymnastics at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne.

Results

Qualification

Sixty three gymnasts competed in the compulsory and optional rounds of the team competition. The top scorers in the team competition won the individual medals. There was no separate competition for individual apparatus.
