Haji Piyada

Haji Piyada is thought to be the earliest Islamic building in Afghanistan. The Mosque was built in the ninth century C.E. Measuring 20 by 20 meters the mosque is located in Afghanistan's Balkh province. The site is listed on the World Monument Fund's 2006 list of the 100 most endangered sites.
