Hakuna matata is a species of chalcid wasp from the family Eulophidae. It was named in 2006 from specimens reared from a plant gall collected in a forest in Uganda. The namers chose the name Hakuna matata as the combination of the generic name and the specific name make up a catchphrase from Disney's 1994 animated film The Lion King to best convey an "African spirit".[1]
